Prepare for your SACS-002 Aramco CCC audit with less manual work
SACS-002 is Saudi Aramco's Third Party Cybersecurity Standard, which sets the cybersecurity controls that suppliers, contractors and service providers must meet when working with Aramco. It contains 92 Third Party Cybersecurity Controls (TPC-1 to TPC-92): general requirements that apply to every third party, plus specific requirements that apply according to the services a supplier provides. Compliance is demonstrated through Aramco's Cybersecurity Compliance Certificate (CCC) programme.
Is SACS-002 right for your organisation?
Any company that supplies goods or services to Saudi Aramco and is in scope of its Cybersecurity Compliance Certificate programme needs to meet SACS-002. The general requirements apply to all third parties, while suppliers that connect to Aramco's network, host infrastructure, process Aramco critical data or provide cloud services must also meet the specific requirements for their classification. It typically comes up when registering as a supplier, bidding for a contract or renewing a CCC.
It is usually required by customers, partners or schemes rather than by law.

OneClickComply makes it simple
SACS-002 is mapped in OneClickComply's control library and is available on request. We map the 92 TPC controls to a single set of controls, so evidence you already collect for ISO 27001, SOC 2 or other frameworks counts towards SACS-002, and our integrations gather evidence for controls such as MFA, patching, logging and vulnerability scanning. AutoComplete generates the required policies from your environment, and our in-house audit team can guide you before your assessment by an Aramco authorised audit firm.
Requirements covered
92 Third Party Cybersecurity Controls (TPC-1 to TPC-92) in Section VII: 23 general requirements for all third parties and 69 specific requirements applied by third party classification, grouped into domains such as governance, access control, data security, protective technology and incident communications.
Manual SACS-002 vs. OneClickComply
- Working out which TPC controls apply to your supplier classification by hand
- Collecting screenshots of MFA, patching and firewall settings for every assessment
- Writing acceptable use, incident, backup and continuity policies from scratch
- Losing track of control status in the two years between CCC renewals
- Duplicating evidence already gathered for ISO 27001 or other client audits
- A mapped SACS-002 control set that shows what applies to your services
- Evidence gathered automatically from your connected tools and admin consoles
- Policies generated from your real environment, ready for review
- Continuous monitoring that flags drift long before your renewal audit
- Evidence collected once and reused across SACS-002 and your other frameworks

SACS-002 FAQs
What is SACS-002?
SACS-002 is Saudi Aramco's Third Party Cybersecurity Standard, issued by Aramco's Information Security Department. It sets 92 cybersecurity controls, numbered TPC-1 to TPC-92, that third parties must meet when they provide goods or services to Aramco. Some controls apply to every supplier, such as multi-factor authentication, patching and security awareness training, while others apply only to suppliers with network connectivity, critical data or cloud services.
Who must comply with SACS-002?
Suppliers, contractors and service providers that work with Saudi Aramco must comply with SACS-002 as a condition of doing business. Every third party must meet the general requirements, TPC-1 to TPC-23. Third parties are then classified by the services they provide, for example connecting to Aramco's network, processing Aramco critical data or providing cloud computing services, and must also meet the specific requirements linked to their classification.
What is the Aramco CCC and how does it relate to SACS-002?
The Cybersecurity Compliance Certificate (CCC) is how a third party proves it meets SACS-002. Under the standard, a third party must obtain a CCC from a Saudi Aramco authorised audit firm, in line with its classification, and submit it to Aramco through the Saudi Aramco e-Marketplace system. The certificate must be renewed every two years, so controls need to stay in place between assessments.
What happens if a supplier does not meet SACS-002?
SACS-002 is a contractual requirement rather than a law, so the consequence of non-compliance is commercial. A supplier that cannot obtain or renew its Cybersecurity Compliance Certificate may be unable to bid for or continue work with Saudi Aramco. The standard also places ongoing duties on suppliers, such as notifying Aramco within 24 hours of discovering a cybersecurity incident.
How do I prepare for a SACS-002 assessment?
Start by confirming your third party classification, then compare your controls against the general requirements and the specific requirements that apply to you. Typical gaps include multi-factor authentication, SPF on email, monthly vulnerability scanning, annual penetration testing, one-year log retention and documented incident, backup and continuity plans. Collect evidence for each TPC control, fix gaps, then book your assessment with an Aramco authorised audit firm.
How does SACS-002 relate to ISO 27001?
SACS-002 and ISO 27001 overlap heavily, covering access control, cryptography, incident management, business continuity and supplier security, so an ISO 27001 information security management system gives a strong head start. However, ISO 27001 certification does not replace the Aramco CCC. SACS-002 adds specific technical rules, such as SPF on Aramco email domains, AES-256 encryption and fixed vulnerability remediation timeframes, that must be evidenced separately.
Is SACS-002 still the current version?
SACS-002 was issued in February 2022 and has been the standard behind Aramco's CCC programme. Aramco's supplier site now also lists a newer Third Party Cybersecurity Standard, SACS-210, so suppliers should check which edition their contract, classification and assessment refer to. Many of the core controls, such as multi-factor authentication and incident notification, are likely to remain relevant whichever edition applies.
Does OneClickComply support SACS-002?
Yes, SACS-002 is mapped in OneClickComply's control library and is available on request. Its 92 TPC controls are mapped to the same controls used for frameworks such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2, so evidence collected once counts towards each. OneClickComply helps you prepare and monitor your controls, but the CCC itself is issued through Aramco's authorised audit firms.
